Introducing Laurel Chiropractor Dr. Marcia B. Levi

All the very best for a healthy and well balanced 2010!

Dr. Marcia B. LeviI just wish I had know then what I know now after dealing firsthand with the many effects of stress in my life. I strongly believe Chiropractic chose me. Wanting to help people naturally lead me on a path from nutrition to traditional medicine to chiropractic.

After a conversation with Dr. Sid Williams and a class in Chiropractic Philosophy I knew I was in the right place and on the right path as I served my God given purpose. Living in Georgia and enjoying the weather was nice as I found courses like anatomy, radiology and chiropractic technique to be the magnet for pulling all the pieces together of how to help a person's body heal correctly. Listening to professors like Dr. Samuel Demons, Dr. Bruce Fox, Dr. Karen Numeroff and Dr. Linda Mullin made me smile on the inside and outside as I dreamt of changing the health of our world one person at a time. I know it sounds corny but it is true why can't we all have and keep great health. The information - the know how is right at our fingertips.

In our office we strive to provide quality healthcare to families in and around Laurel. Our operating philosophy is mission first, team second and self third when it comes to helping in the restoration of health. We delight and greatly value satisfying and delighting our patients. As the owner of the practice our team members' happiness and excelling in their respective departments is also highly valued. And we strongly believe we can achieve our goals by first caring for Laurel and surrounding communities along with the environment. The most moving, soul-satisfying and deeply fulfilling aspects of being in practice is to see individuals and families with good health restored living in their fullest potential.

I am married to Dameon and as residents of Prince Georges County and members of Reid Temple AME we find ourselves very busy enjoying the many activities offered. Being outdoors is one of my favorite things to do and going for a run/walk is a true stress buster for me so with regular chiropractic care, mixed with weight lifting, Tai Chi, Pilates and yoga and lots of stretching I am keeping myself healthy. This will be my fourth year for running the Army Ten Miler and then it is on to training for Mount Kilimanjaro.

Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What's the difference between chiropractic and medicine?
Medical treatment focuses on the disease or the symptom. Chiropractic focuses on the person with the disease or the symptom. Medical treatment usually involves changing blood chemistry. Chiropractic involves restoring nervous system integrity. Medical doctors prescribe medicine. Chiropractors adjust the spine—a common source of nervous system interference.
